BBC, I love you!
BBC, the British Broadcasting Agency, has been an influential source of news for over 70 years. From spreading the English "public school" accent to making amazing television series like "I, Claudius", whatever you say about a company with roots in the Imperial British propaganda, you cannot deny its services.
Now, in the age of the internet, BBC has given us its amazing website. I am not sure why, but the BBC site is a collection of unbelievable amount of knowledge. Their history section is a wonderful, and in a sense, unrivaled, site. The language site, with great language teaching tools, is certainly unique (it has an interactive section for learning Scottish Gaelic for crying out loud!). Other sections just need to be explored. Click on and lose yourself in the amazing ocean of material.
I love the BBC!

I love the BBC, too! I have been watching their TV shows on Public Broadcasting channels for many years. Probably my all time favorite BBC show is "Doctor Who". They made some movies of some of C. S. Lewis's "Chronicals of Narnia" books that were really fun. Benny Hill and Monty Python's "Flying Circus" were also great fun! I remember "I, Claudius". It was great! I really like Sir Derek Jacobi. More recently, he did a BBC series called "Cadfael", in which he played a medieval monk/herbalist who solved mysteries. I was really hooked on that show.
From BBC on the internet, I read their Science and Technology news nearly every day. Often, the same news appears on CNN the next day. I think they read BBC news to get their news! :)

I like Blackadder the most, because I think it is quite honest and witty. The BBC kicks ass and rules so to say. They were also very instrumental in helping overthrow the horrible illiterate and unintellectual Shah:
In the name of whiskey
In the name of song
You didn't look back
You didn't belong
In the name of reason
In the name of hope
In the name of religion
In the name of dope
In the name of freedom
You drifted away
To see the sun shining
On someone else's day
In the name of United and the BBC
In the name of Georgie Best and LSD...
In 1978 if you wanted to know where to go to hell "death to the king" all you had to do was tune into the BBC the night before.
Long live the British and their Mullah Republic.
