Cyrus can rest in Peace
For anyone who might be interested in the whole Sivand Dam project controversy, here is a concise article from Dr. Ali Mousavi, an archaeologist who works on the site of Pasargadae.
I hope this calms some people down.

Khodadad, thanks for posting this article. I agree, it should calm people who are under the mistaken impression that the famous monuments will be submerged. However, I still wonder if there will be enough time to thoroughly investigate the Bulaqi gorge. I read that an entire ancient village was recently found in the gorge. It seems to me that it could take years to adequately dig such a site. Also, Dr. Mousavi mentions the potential effects of humidity on Pasargadae. Another article that I read suggested that the humidity would cause the growth of lichens on the ancient stones. I know from my own visual observations that lichens slowly dig into rocks and eventually cause the surface to crumble away. I don't want to sound like some sort of neo-expert on Pasargadae. I just think that some very interesting bits of history will still probably be lost.
Btw, I quickly browsed a few of your pictures. I plan to take a better look at them sometime in the next week when I have more time.
