Pictures

I am planning to write a proper essay accompanying my travel photographs, but at the moment, there are papers that are more important and need to be written. For now, I hope you enjoy these pics of Iceland, Granada, and Cordoba.

Among your Iceland pics, the volcanic lake caught my eye. It looks almost exactly like the false volcanic lake used by SPECTRE to launch its sinister rocket pirate ships in the James Bond film "You Only Live Twice". I can hear Donald Pleasance in my mind. Creepy!

Of your Granada pics, I find the water cistern to be the most interesting. Its construction reminds me very much of many Roman structures. Also, I just like arches! :)

In Cordoba, the Mesquita is a very interesting building! Am I correct in assuming that it was built by Muslims and later converted to a Christian Church? The altar and the human figures in the dome suggest this to me.

When you write your essay, could you include some historical details about the subjects of your photos? I would certainly appreciate them!

I have a new post. It is much shorter than my usual efforts, quite petite, actually. :)
