Nice at 30
I am in Nice, south of France, the Cote d'Azure, French Riviera, whatever, as usual. Youhave seen me here before, so I will not write about it much, but if I take any pictures, I will upload them as soon as I have a good internet connection.
In here, I have been reduced to the ancient dial-up technology and cannot really work on the internet much. It is nerve racking, after five years of DSL and T3 and other stuff! Technology indeed is addictive!
I turned 30 yesterday (August 13th) and had a small celebration, in form of a dinner, with my girlfriend in a little restaurant here and then watched a DVD! A rather uneventful entry into the third decade of my life. It is a bit funny not to be "in my twenties" any more and I think I have lost my last reasons to act as a kid, the way I do (although I will always read comics and watch cartoons, even if I am 90!).
I will be here for a while before heading back to the US. I am going to complete the Iceland and Spain essay and upload it soon, but also write the papers I am supposed to write (a paper to publich and three encyclopaedia entries!), so it is not going to be all fun and games, but I am not complaining.

Yeah, I'm still using the ancient technology. Writing is no problemo, but downloading video material is nearly impossible! Some day, I need to join the modern world in the fast lane. ;)
I sent you an email earlier today, before I saw your post. Well, I'll just let you read it (lots of really important stuff! ;) ).
